I am in the process of upgrading my heat pump system. Goodman is less expensive (by $800 to $1000)… but is Trane worth the extra cost? I’ll be installing 14SEER system. Goodman dealer tells me Trane is bad because it is made of aluminum and Goodman is made of Copper. However, Trane dealer tells me Goodman is a “garbage” and it will break down lot faster. Anybody have opinion?
